Every year Black History Month is celebrated in February. In Montreal 2018, the team selects 12 people for their dedicated work and their wonderful achievements. I had the honour to meet and photograph these 12 laureates. When I prepared for the photoshoot, it was clear to me that I wanted to portrait all of them as strong and proud. They embodied that vision, it came naturally to them, and for that, I am grateful.
